Course Registration

It's almost over. I've already had my final Myth and Religion of the Celts class. We went to our last SCD Society meeting.

I just did my course registration for the winter semester in Guelph. It seemed so far removed from reality. It was made even stranger by the fact that I've got classes in the oddest places, not my familiar little sphere of lecture halls, so I can't even picture myself going to class. Landscape Architecture, Richards (actually had to look that one up on the campus map. given its location, I've obviously walked by it a million times, but I'm still not entirely convinced that it exists. even the photo doesn't help much. weird), Maclachlan (NOT the library. lol. if you're not familiar with the campus, smile and nod), JT Powell (you can have classes in there???). And why exactly did they change the FACS building to MINS? Are they trying to make me into a frosh again? And to think, I will never again have the opportunity to sit through a lecture in those awful seats of C&M200. I AM going back to the same campus I left behind right?

I'm going to be clinging to the outdated Mammalogy lab in Axelrod for dear life.

They're sending me back to the Zoo Annex?

it always startles me when u leave comments at what seems to me to be strange times. i'm going "1 comment? who's reading my blog at 9am?" i just haven't got that time zone conversion coming automatically yet.

i know they changed the name of the building a while ago, but they only just changed the acronym.

No Christa. You are not returning to the same campus. 1st of all, C&M no longer exist (well, it exist, but it's blocked off). And of course there's the new Science Complex. The most painful of it all is the area around C&M and Axelrod, where they blocked off the entire section until 2007 (useful eh?). Just hope to dear Gods that you don't have to cross Gordon street, for they put up the iron curtain of doom (yes, people are hopping the fence). Apparently the person who designed the campus who has been resisting stupid changes left recently, so the campus is going all out in the "improvement" action.

Hi Christa: Our computer was down so catching up on all your news. Cannot believe that you are nearly at the end of school term there. The spiders would definitely be scary. In Japan Stacey has had volcano eruptions, two severe typhoons, and three major earthquakes in her area in her first two months there. Since last earthquake there has been already been 400 aftershocks. Must be making her time there also a little scary. Have also been reading JDF's website in Scotland and it is also very interesting. Love: Aunt Margje

Just wanted to let you know that in case you were trying to get in touch with us that our e-mail is still not working properly so cannot use it yet. Was looking at my last entry and noticed mistakes. Guess I should proofread. lol. Do not worry, Stacey's immediate area did not receive any major damage from those storms I mentioned but they were close enough to feel the effects of them. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Aunt Margje
