Happy Halloween!!!
Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore: with the exception of overpriced events for international students, Halloween is barely a blip on the radar
It doesn't help that there is absolutely nothing spooky about the transition from spring to summer. I spent Halloween shopping for summer clothes with Ching. I have discovered a bit of problem with the way clothing is sized. Every female in this city has a short denim skirt, and since I refuse to conform to the nonconformists, I want one too. Plus, a short skirt is much, much cooler than long jeans. The problem lies in the fact that manufacturers seem to assume that everyone has roughly the same waist size to leg length ratio. This means that as the size of the skirt gets smaller, the length of the skirt shortens proportionately. The result? I found a skirt that fit me absolutely perfectly in every way except for the fact that if I attempted to do anything other than stand completely still, I'd find that I fit in quite well on a dodgy streetcorner at 3am. But we have yet to explore the shops along Pitt Street, so I haven't given up yet.
Last week was completely insane, with final assignments and presentations all due at once. But for better or for worse, they're over and done with. I took the weekend off, trying to rid myself of a severe sleep deficit and just generally being lazy and indulging myself in baking and shopping. My exams don't start until the 15th, so I figured a couple of days off to keep a grip on my sanity was acceptable.

I have a similar problem with shirts, sometimes. Apparantly people my height are supposed to be either stick thin or absolutely friggin' massive.
Two whole weeks until exams! No problem taking one weekend off.Just missed your phone call--called back but no answer.Catch you later--Mom
I was probably talking to Lianne!
First, you do look really really good in those short short skirts my dear.
Second, it's not fair! By the time I'm done with exams (Nov 13th)...you wouldn've even started yours! Wait...this means I actually get an entire 10 days to relax while you're still writing exams. Okay, I guess it is fair.
