Meeting people

A couple of nights ago, a new girl moved into the empty bed in our dorm room. She was fast asleep when we got home, presumably jet lagged (this was later verified). The next day, she was up and sorting through her stuff. She picked up two very familiar looking folders from the daily arrival and housing information sessions. A Scottish exchange student from Edinburgh is staying in our room! How cool. I guess we'll see her at orientation.

I think it's a good thing that we're moving out of the hostel. The bed boards started falling out last night. Thankfully, they were not the ones in the bunk bed Ching and I are sharing. The poor Scottish exchange student had a rather rude awakening when a board fell across her chest. The German woman on the top bunk was holding on for dear life trying to get down before the bed fell apart and knocked out another board. But they put the bed back together and there were no more incidents.

We paid the bond and first week's rent on the one room in our new house. Our (almost, we move tomorrow) flatmates are totally nuts. I'll fit right in.
